International Students

Borderless Hosts is an opportunity for you to undergo personal growth through fun learning experiences as well as to help share your culture with others.  The program will match you with a family or mentor who you will not live with, but you will form connections with through personal interactions.  Perhaps you will share meals with your family or mentor, participate in community activities, and attend Borderless Hosts group get-togethers.  Your family or mentor will help you with questions you might have about American culture, and they will be curious to learn about your culture as well.

Responsibilities of Students

• Apply for the program and if selected attend the opening dinner to meet your family or mentor.
• Make yourself available to your host family, and make sure your schedule will allow for adequate participation.
• Communicate your needs to your host family.
• Invite your host family to activities on campus.
• Share traditions of your country and culture with your host family.
